We strive to provide transparency and education within our industry.  We've put together some of the questions we're frequently asked. If there’s something we've missed, just reach out and we'll do our best to help.

WHAT ARE YOUR HOURS OF OPERATIONS?

We are open Tuesday-Saturday from 9am-6pm.  Our last appointment/drop off is at 3pm.  We will always give you a call and/or send you a text 15 minutes before your pet is ready for pickup.  

HOW LONG DOES THE GROOMING PROCESS TAKE?

There are several factors that determine the length of time of the grooming process.  Age, breed, behavior/temperament, and condition of coat to name a few.  The scope of work can very easily change and will take at least four hours.  
Rather than giving unrealistic time expectations, our focus is on your pets safety and comfort throughout the grooming process.  You can trust that our stylist have the knowledge, experience and patience to achieve your desired cut.

CAN THE COST VARY?

Yes, but your stylist will make you aware of those during the assessment.  Matting (knots), heavy undercoat, behavior and fleas will affect the price due to the scope of work and time frame these services require.

WHAT CAN I DO AS A PET OWNER TO HELP DURING THE GROOMING PROCESS?

During the assessment, please make your stylist aware of any injuries, sensitivities and/or behaviors.  Also, brushing at home to help maintain your pets coat, prevent matting (knots) and familiarize them with the grooming process.  This will support our mission to reduce stress during the grooming process.  Lastly, please be courteous to other pet owners by keeping your pets current on vaccinations and flea prevention.

WHAT PRODUCTS ARE USED ON MY PET?

We use a premium Oatmeal based shampoo with aloe vera that provides a soothing, enriched experience.  It can help ease irritation and reduce inflamed itchy skin.  Please note that if your dog has medicated shampoo, we are more than happy to use as directed.

WHY IS TAKING MY DOG TO THE GROOMER SO IMPORTANT?

Taking your pet to the groomer has many benefits outside of looking beautiful.  The groomer is "hands-on" at all times and has the opportunity to let you know of any concerns that you may not have been aware of.  For example, any lumps or abnormalities, skin conditions, inner ear or changes in behavior.

WILL CBD MAKE MY DOG HIGH?

No, Medterra's products by design are not intended to be psychoactive.  Medterra's Isolate and Broad-Spectrum CBD products do not contain any THC and, therefore, have no psychoactive ingredients.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I AM UNHAPPY WITH THE SERVICE I RECEIVED?

Pet parent satisfaction is very important to us.  If for any reason you are unhappy with the service, please let us know at pick up so we can make any necessary corrections before leaving.  We take great pride in our work and want everyone to be satisfied.  

CAN SOMEONE ELSE PICK UP MY DOG?

Although it's not recommended, we will allow another family member to pick up your pet.  Underdogs recommendation is for the owner to pick up the pet to guarantee a clear line of communication between the owner and groomer.  

CAN I GET MY DOG OUT FASTER?

We do offer an "express" premium service for select cliental. Please let us know if this service is of interest and we will be more than happy to provide additional information.
